Truffle Pizza 🍕
This truffle pizza is a delicious combination of sweet and savory! Juicy pears, creamy ricotta, pecorino, honey and fresh black truffles take our best pizza dough to the next level.
Ingredients:
1 pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)
1 tablespoon olive oil
1/2 cup truffle sauce or white truffle oil
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 cup sliced black truffles (or 2 tablespoons truffle paste)
1 cup mushrooms, thinly sliced (such as shiitake or cremini)
2 cloves garlic, minced
Fresh thyme leaves
Salt and black pepper to taste
1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)
Directions:
Prepare the Dough:
Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C). If using a pizza stone, place it in the oven while it preheats.
On a floured surface, roll out the pizza dough to your desired thickness. Transfer it to a pizza peel or baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Preheat and Season:
Brush the dough lightly with olive oil.
Spread the truffle sauce or white truffle oil evenly over the dough.
Add Toppings:
Sprinkle the mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses over the truffle sauce.
Distribute the sliced mushrooms and minced garlic evenly across the pizza.
Add the sliced black truffles or truffle paste on top.
Bake the Pizza:
Transfer the pizza to the preheated oven or pizza stone. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly and slightly browned.
Finish and Serve:
Remove the pizza from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes.
Garnish with fresh thyme leaves, salt, and black pepper to taste.
Sprinkle with chopped parsley before slicing and serving.
