Ingredients:

1 cup peanut butter (creamy)
1 cup butter
1 cup water
2 cups granulated sugar
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
½ teaspoon salt
2 large eggs
½ cup buttermilk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
For the Peanut Butter Frosting:
½ cup peanut butter (creamy)
½ cup butter, softened
4 cups powdered sugar
¼ cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Directions:
Make the Peanut Butter Sheet Cake:
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×13-inch baking pan.
In a medium saucepan, combine the peanut butter, butter, and water. Bring to a boil while stirring to combine, then remove from heat.
In a large bowl, whisk together the sugar, flour, baking soda, and salt.
Pour the hot peanut butter mixture into the dry ingredients and stir until smooth.
Add the eggs, buttermilk, and vanilla extract to the batter and mix until fully combined.
Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Let the cake cool completely before frosting.
Make the Peanut Butter Frosting:
In a large mixing bowl, beat together the peanut butter and butter until smooth.
Gradually add the powdered sugar, alternating with milk, beating until the frosting is creamy and spreadable.
Stir in the vanilla extract.
Once the cake has cooled, spread the peanut butter frosting evenly over the top of the cake.
