BLACKENED STEAK & SHRIMP ALFREDO 🥩🍤🍝

This Blackened Steak & Shrimp Alfredo is a delicious surf and turf pasta dish that combines tender blackened steak, succulent shrimp, and a creamy Alfredo sauce on a bed of fettuccine. It’s rich, flavorful, and perfect for a special dinner!

Ingredients:

For the steak and shrimp:
1 pound sirloin steak (or ribeye), cut into bite-sized cubes
1/2 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
2 tbsp. Cajun or blackened seasoning
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 tablespoons butter
Salt and black pepper to taste
For the Alfredo sauce:
2 tablespoons butter
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 1/2 cups heavy cream
1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Salt to taste

For the pasta:
12 ounces fettuccine (or your favorite pasta)
Fresh chopped parsley (for garnish)

Directions:

  1. Cook the pasta:
    Boil the pasta:
    Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the fettuccine and cook according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. Blacken the Steak and Shrimp:

  4. Toss the steak and shrimp with the Cajun or Blackened Seasoning, making sure they are evenly coated.

Cook the Steak:
Heat 1 tablespoon olive oil and 1 tablespoon butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the seasoned steak cubes and cook for 3-4 minutes until browned and cooked through. Remove from the skillet and set aside.

Cook the Shrimp:
In the same skillet, add 1 tablespoon olive oil and cook the shrimp for 2-3 minutes per side until pink. Remove from the skillet and set aside with the steak.

  1. Make the Alfredo Sauce:

Sauté the Garlic:
In the same skillet, melt 2 tablespoons butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.

Add Cream:
Pour in heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Stir occasionally, allowing cream to reduce slightly, about 3-4 minutes.

Add Parmesan:
Stir in grated Parmesan and black pepper. Continue stirring until sauce thickens and becomes creamy. Season with salt to taste.

Play with Pasta:
Add cooked fettuccine to Alfredo sauce, tossing to coat pasta evenly.

Top Steak and Shrimp:
Plate pasta and top each serving with blackened steak and shrimp.

Garnish:
Garnish with fresh parsley and an extra sprinkle of Parmesan if desired.
