Herb-Infused Rib Eye Steak with Creamy Mushroom Sauce🍄
Ingredients:
1rib eye steaks
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 tablespoon fresh rosemary, chopped
1 tablespoon fresh thyme, chopped
3 cloves garlic, minced
Salt and pepper, to taste
1 tablespoon butter
Creamy Mushroom Sauce:
1 cup mushrooms, sliced
1 tablespoon butter
1/2 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup beef broth
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
Salt and pepper, to taste
Directions:
Prepare the steak:
In a small bowl, combine olive oil, rosemary, thyme, garlic, salt, and pepper.
Rub the mixture onto both sides of the rib eye steaks. Let the steaks marinate at room temperature for 30 minutes.
Cook the steak:
Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and melt 1 tablespoon of butter.
Add the rib eye steaks to the skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or longer if desired. Remove from the skillet and let the steaks rest.
Make the creamy mushroom sauce:
In the same skillet, melt 1 tablespoon of butter.
Add the sliced mushrooms and cook for 3-4 minutes until tender.
Stir in the heavy cream, beef broth, and Dijon mustard. Cook for 5-6 minutes, stirring frequently, until the sauce thickens. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Serve:
Slice the rib eye steak and serve with the creamy mushroom sauce drizzled on top.
