Classic Grilled Ribeye Steak :

Ingredients:

2 ribeye steaks (about 1-1.5 inches thick)
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 teaspoons coarse salt
1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
2 cloves garlic, crushed
Fresh rosemary sprigs (optional)
2 tablespoons butter (optional)

Directions:

Prepare the steaks:
Take the ribeye steaks out of the refrigerator at least 30 minutes before grilling to allow them to come to room temperature. Pat the steaks dry with paper towels.

Season the steaks:
Rub both sides of the steaks with olive oil, then generously season with salt and pepper. Optionally, rub the steaks with crushed garlic and place a few sprigs of rosemary on top for added flavor.

Heat the grill:
Preheat your grill to high heat (450-500°F). Ensure the grates are clean and oiled to prevent sticking.

Grill the steaks:
Place the ribeyes on the hot grill. Grill for 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or longer if you prefer your steak more done. Use tongs to flip the steaks without piercing the meat.

Add butter:
If using butter, add a tablespoon on top of each steak during the last minute of grilling. Let the butter melt and coat the steak.

Rest the steaks:
Once the steaks are done to your desired level, remove them from the grill and let them rest for 5 minutes. This allows the juices to redistribute within the meat, making the steaks juicier.

Serve:
Slice the steaks and serve with your favorite sides such as grilled vegetables, mashed potatoes, or a crisp salad.
