Gourmet King Scallop with Garlic Butter in Shell 🐚🍋🐚🧄
Ingredients:
6 large king scallops, cleaned
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
1 tablespoon lemon juice
Salt and black pepper to taste
2 tablespoons olive oil
Lemon wedges for garnish
Fresh herbs (optional) for garnish
Directions:
Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
In a small saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant. Remove from heat and stir in the lemon juice and fresh parsley.
Season the scallops with salt and pepper on both sides.
Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the scallops for about 1-2 minutes on each side until golden brown, then remove from heat.
Place each seared scallop back into its cleaned shell, spooning the garlic butter mixture over each one.
Transfer the scallops (in shells) to a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 5-7 minutes, until the scallops are tender and fully cooked through.
Serve hot, garnished with fresh herbs and lemon wedges.
