Grilled Steelhead Trout 🐟
Ingredients:
4 steelhead trout fillets (about 6 oz each)
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 lemon, thinly sliced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon dried thyme
1 teaspoon dried rosemary
Salt and black pepper to taste
Fresh herbs (parsley, dill, or chives) for garnish
For the Herb Butter:
4 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
1 tablespoon fresh dill, chopped
1 tablespoon fresh chives, chopped
1 teaspoon lemon juice
Salt to taste
Directions:
Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
In a small bowl, combine the olive oil, minced garlic, dried thyme, dried rosemary, salt, and pepper. Brush the mixture evenly over the steelhead trout fillets.
Place the fillets skin-side down on the grill. Cook for about 4-5 minutes per side, or until the fish is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
While the fish is grilling, prepare the herb butter. In a small bowl, mix together the softened butter, chopped parsley, dill, chives, lemon juice, and salt.
Remove the fillets from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes.
Top each fillet with a dollop of herb butter and garnish with fresh herbs and lemon slices.
