Guava Pastries 🥐
Ingredients:
1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
1 cup guava paste, cut into small pieces
1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
1 tablespoon granulated sugar
1 tablespoon milk
Powdered sugar for dusting (optional)
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Roll out the puff pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface. Cut the pastry into 6-8 squares.
Place a small piece of guava paste in the center of each pastry square.
Fold the pastry over the guava paste to form a triangle or rectangle, sealing the edges with a fork.
Brush the tops of the pastries with the beaten egg, and sprinkle with granulated sugar.
Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the pastries are golden brown and puffed.
Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before dusting with powdered sugar, if desired.
